EyeSpy Featured in MN Bride

Monday, July 20th, 2009

You need to run out to your nearest bookstore and pick up the newest copy of MN Bride. Now. I’ll wait.

I was lucky enough to get a fantastic 2 page spread of JoEllen and Rob’s magical wedding. My images open up the “Newlywed” section and I couldn’t be more excited! Jo and Rob had such a unique spread of details and special touches, I am glad that everyone in Minnesota can see that you don’t have to have the “traditional” wedding. Be yourself and have fun!

Congrats to Jo and Rob for being supermodels, again!

Big Things!

Excitement!

I have a lot of exciting things planned for EyeSpy for the rest of 2009 and into 2010. I always seem to come up with new ideas or big changes right in the middle of wedding season. Why can’t I brainstorm like this in January? :)

Anyways, I can share a few things with you right now…

*Like, I think I will be hosting another Boudoir Marathon at a fabulous hotel in Minneapolis this fall. I have settled on a date just yet, but if you are interested in being the first to hear the details, please email me!

*I am also kicking around taking my Boudoir Photography on the road to a fabulous city. Want me to come to your city? Let me know!

*Also, EyeSpy is going to have a little contest this summer/fall. It has to do with a little thing called “free wedding photography”. Oh yeah! I am still finalizing the rules and dates, but keep an eye out. If you are getting married in 2010, this will definitely interest you!

*Are you getting married this fall of 2009 and don’t have a photographer yet? I still have a few random fall-into-winter wedding dates available.

*Film is going to be offered as an add-on to any wedding photography package. There will be a variety of color, black & white, 35mm and medium format included when you choose the Film addition. A great way to complement your digital wedding photography.

And because posts without pictures are lame, here is a new little floral creation that I grew in my little garden. Blue and pink hydrangeas are too cute!

Erin & Jeremy {engaged}

Thursday, July 16th, 2009

The main reason I was in Cincinnati last weekend was because of Erin and Jeremy. They are getting married next year in the Dominican Republic and I will be the lucky photographer. Erin booked me over email. She wrote the funniest emails and I knew I wanted to meet these two. And as luck would have it, Erin and Jeremy wanted some engagement photos in their home city so I went down to Ohio to keep my clients happy. :)

I had such a fun time hanging out and having some pretty fantastic dinners with them, we 3 are a perfect match! We love food, beer and tattoos… and great photography! Cincinnati has some pretty great places to shoot and funky bridges that look straight out of NYC. Wanna see?? Check it!

Jeremy has an adorable daughter who joined us for a few photos in a bean field

Cathy & Keith {married}

Thursday, July 9th, 2009

Rush Creek was the setting for Cathy and Keith’s July 4th nuptials and what a setting it was! What a fantastic backdrop! The sky was such a bright blue and all of the guests were buzzing for the holiday and wedding combo. Cathy and Keith knew exactly what they wanted when it came to planning the wedding and “overdone” was not in the cards. Everything was elegant, relaxed and light. Keith’s 2 son’s and Cathy’s daughter and son were included in the whole day and it made sense, they were joining 2 families to become one. The flowers were done by Festivities in Medina and the dessert was about 10 different flavors of cheesecake by Muddy Paws.

Some fabulous details to start the day off right:

Lisa & Jeff {engaged}

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Duluth is one of my most favorite cities. For realz.

When Lisa and Jeff asked me to shoot their 2010 wedding in Duluth, I was more than thrilled. Then when they asked me to shoot their engagement session up in Duluth, how could I say no? Lisa and Jeff did a ton of location scouting and we had quite the list of places to shoot. Plus, their sweet little pup Ellie would be tagging along too! I was in heaven!

The weather was a little tricky, but we all did a fantastic job of dodging raindrops and massive wind gusts. I think the photos turned out perfect and I can’t wait to shoot in Duluth again!
