Ann & Brian 6.27.2008

Saturday, June 28th, 2008

They met at the Bonfire. Their first date was at the View. They were engaged at Chino. And yesterday they got married.

With all of the yummy and trendy places Ann and Brian liked to spend time at, I knew their wedding was going to be a knock out. There was no detail left out, everything had a sparkle to it. I met up with Ann and her “Team Bride” entourage at her home. The place was buzzing with energy.

And when I say everything had a sparkle, I mean it. The girl was dripping with gems. The shoes were not to be left out.

Here “Team Bride” helped Ann get into her gown. It was a big team!

When Ann and the girls were all ready, we headed to the cutest little park in Edina, complete with fountain. That is were Brian and Ann saw each other for the first time and we did some wedding pictures and pictures of the couple. And you will see what a beautiful day we had to play with!

Once we made it to St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Edina, we did some more photos before the ceremony. Let me tell you, these 2 are so hawt!

See? HAWTNESS!!!!!

Matt got this great shot of Ann about to walk down the aisle. St. Patrick’s was full of bright stained glass.

During the vows, the priest invited all of the guests to come up around the couple and see Ann and Brian profess their love up close. So cool.

And I got myself a nice little front row seat for the kiss. Score!

It was on to the reception after it became official. Calhoun Beach Club just got done doing some much needed renovations and let me tell you, what an improvement. It looks awesome in there. Clean lines, white furniture, very South Beach. Ann’s brother is the announcer at the Dome for the Minnesota Vikings and did the honor of announcing the Mr. and Mrs. when they entered the Club.

Ooh, there was an old school photo booth too.

Before dinner, I snuck away with the bride and groom to shoot a couple more photos because that is my job!! And look at the result- TASTY!

First Dance
ann-1202-copy.jpg

If you are a Minnesota Vikings fan, you will have no doubt heard of Viktor the Viking. Well, apparently he was invited too. He was running around playing with kids, posing like a body builder, and dancing like a star. Matt liked him too because he was following him around and got this shot. I’m not sure if this kid really was into dancing with Viktor, but the crowd loved it and the look on his face is killer.

I had such a hard time narrowing the photos down to only a handful, this wedding was packed with beauty and sparkle. We had such a fun time meeting everyone and taking advantage of the hospitality of Ann and Brian. They were wonderful. And so in love. I even love them!! Thanks a ton, guys and have a blast at your secret honeymoon destination!!!

My new bartender

So it has been kind of phlegmy over at the EyeSpy house. All of the humans have contracted a lovely cold and the dogs have been getting way too many ticks. Ickyness.

To pass the time between coughs, we have been reading Luca his new book that he got from his Auntie Sarah. She bought it off of this website which has a bunch of funky and random things. He really is getting into learning the difference between martinis and champagne cocktails.

img_7655-copy.jpg

Here he is pointing out his favorite libation, with a side of pretzels, of course!

img_7657-copy.jpg

This book is pretty funny, it really is for adults more than babies, but it has pretty colors, what baby could resist?

*******

And just a quick little EyeSpy update,
My new custom proofing gallery should be ready any second (so I have been told)….As soon as I get the go ahead from the designers, I will notify all of you wonderful clients who have been patiently waiting for your images.

Today his mom, Michelle, brought him over to play and get some bitchin’ pooch photos taken.

Holly & Joe June.7.2008

Monday, June 9th, 2008

I met Holly on Thursday. 2 days before she was to marry Joe. She called me on Wednesday asking to see if I had a wedding already booked for that Saturday.

I told her I was open and she told me a little bit about an emergency wedding that they had been planning since last week. Then she mentioned how they were doing it so quickly because her mom was sick in the hospital and they wanted to make sure her mom would be able to attend the wedding. No problem, I told her, I would love to be there. I asked if she still had some planning to do. Nope, she said, the photographer was the last thing to set up.

Holly and Joe were supposed to get married this October. They had been engaged since May of 2007 and had everything planned and booked. Everyone in the family knew that Holly’s mom had been sick but last week they had a scare and decided to move everything up to June 7th. They had an unnamed photographer booked and when Holly tried to call her, she never got a call back. Luckily, I had an open Saturday and I think fate brought us all together. This was probably one of the most important weddings I have ever attended.

She told me that the ceremony was going to be held at the hosptial chapel and she would also be putting her dress on there so her mom could be a part of getting ready. Then the wedding party would head to downtown Stillwater for some drinks and fun, with the reception following at the Afton House Inn. She had also mentioned that the ceremony was going to be a bit emotional, so I should be prepared. Now I didn’t include any photos of the ceremony in these pictures because it was a small gathering and I want to keep those images private for Holly, Joe and their families. But I will tell you that it was such a powerful ceremony that we all witnessed and I feel honored that I was a small part of the whole day.

Holly and Joe were so much fun. They were super hot, silly and a little bit naughty. They were up for anything, which worked out in my favor, I love when people do what I say. :)

What a bunch of hotties

In part of the toasts, we all found out how much Joe and Holly love to eat. They kept eating cupcakes for me so I could get some good shots. This was their 8th cupcake in a row. Geez. :)

And did they love dancing. The entire wedding party was quite the group of booty-shakers.

Thank you so much Holly & Joe, I had a wonderful time meeting your families and friends! I hope you guys had as much fun as I did. We will have to go to Dick’s for a beer!!

Lily Susan

Friday, June 6th, 2008

Last night I became an auntie again! My sister and her hubby Mike welcomed Lily Susan to the family at around 8 in the evening. And she is no little flower, she is a big girl at almost 9 pounds. She is giving Luca a run for his money in the big baby department. And the head of hair on this girl, damn! We have no idea where the dark hair is coming from….mom and dad are both blondes!

She is such a little sweetie pie and I almost kidnapped her because she is soooo cute! We already have been to the hospital twice because she is so adorable.

Tyler hasn’t met is little sister yet…and we are all waiting to see what kind of reaction he has…he may not be too pleased when he finds out that Lily isn’t going anywhere. Luca thought she was pretty cool, he kept trying to grab her. I think he may have wanted to put her hand in his mouth. Real classy, Luca.

Isn’t Lily such a great name? Her room is painted orange and decorated with flowers. Go figure! :)

Since I know alot of Christyn’s work friends are checking the blog so they can get a sneak peek, on to the photos!!!

Mini Session: Families & Maternity

Monday, June 2nd, 2008

Another weekend, another mini session. This time it was families and maternity shots. So much fun!! I met alot of new people and got some really great images. Wanna see? Then keep on scrollin’.

First I met Amy and her family. She brought her husband and her 2 super cute little boys. She told me a little about her family and her boys. I asked what their names were, Logan, who is 7 and Luca who is 2.5. Luca?? Really? Another Luca!! It was craziness! I got all excited and hyper. So when Sunday came, I had 2 little Luca boys in my house.

Hi, my name is Luca…

Mom and Dad, so cute!

My next family had another pair of little boys, but these boys were a little younger. Mason and Connor are 3 and almost 1. Mason loved running up and down the hill in my yard and chasing Spyder. Connor wasn’t quit as mobile as his big brother, so he was easier to get pictures of. :)

Awwww!

Mason loved running around. Alot. But we promised him puppies and McDonald’s if he sat good for 1 family shot. Kiddo, I owe you a Happy Meal and a dog. Good job.
img_9670-copyweb.jpg

I also met some really great girls. And for being as pregnant as they were, they were in great spirits. When I was that far along, I was kind of crazy. I think I scared Matt sometimes. :)

Here is Michelle. You might remember her little girl Ella from my Kid Mini Session 2 weeks ago. Ella is adorable. Lucky Ella has a little sister on the way in August. Michelle is very excited for the new baby and looks fantastic. Plus she was rockin some cute glasses and as a fellow glasses-wearer, I love a girl in glasses.

Amanda and BJ are expecting their first little man in 4 weeks! At first, BJ was nervous about getting his picture taken, but by the end of the session, he admitted it was very easy and I wasn’t TOO scary. The 2 are absolutely adorable together. They are so sweet with each other, they will make fantastic parents.

First they lounged on the couch…
img_8846-copyweb.jpg

Then they compared bellies
img_8999-copyweb.jpg

Then they showed me their baby’s first picture, you think he looks like his daddy?
img_8997-copyweb.jpg

But you know that every baby is half mommy and half daddy.
img_9014-copyweb.jpg

We ended everything with Amanda giving me some major sass
img_9033-copyweb.jpg

Thanks to everyone who made it out here, it was so much fun and I have tons of great shots!
