What a week…

Monday, December 17th, 2007

Last week was quite busy for me…3 big things happened, 2 of them were super cool and the 3rd was kind of a bummer.

1. The most recent and bummer deal, which we are still dealing with, our furnace decided to break over the weekend. DRAG! The furnace guy is over now fixing the tiny little part that has stopped the heat from coming. I am freezing!! But it will be fixed in no time and at least it’s not -20 outside…

2. My darling Matty had a birthday and we went out for dinner to Stella’s Fish Cafe in Uptown and had the most yummy dinner. I had crab stuffed ravioli and Birthday Boy had crab stuffed steak. YUM. Plus, they had hte best pomegrante lemonade EVER!! If you like seafood, you should go, it was so good!

Here is Matty about to eat a giant piece of triple chocolate cake…

Here we are freezing outside, stuffed to the brim with seafood

And since I am a cool wife, this is what I got Matt for his present. OLD SCHOOL, YO!! If you are bored over the winter, come over and we will have a Nintendo party. I am awesome at Super Mario 3. Remember when video game controllers only had a few buttons?? It was way easier back then :)

3. My super lovely girlfriend Jill (and her hubby Craig), who I have known since we were 5, had her baby girl last week! Amelie Taylor was born on the 12th and she is just the tiniest bean! Isn’t she a sweetie-baby??

Matty is super pumped because he and Amelie almost have the same birthday…I think they are going to be best buddies.

Tyler’s Christmas Photo

Tuesday, December 11th, 2007

In the midst of making a ton of Christmas and holiday cards for the end of the year, my sister brought the cutest little nephew over for some photos that she could send out as Christmas cards. She had T-pie all decked out in doggie PJ’s and we all hoped for the best since he was in a little bit of a mood. But can you really blame him, he is only one and just mastered walking…he had dogs to chase and ornaments to rip off of the Christmas tree.

He didn’t really feel like smiling or sitting or standing. We were in trouble. I had this idea of him eating this giant fake candy cane that was sitting out but how do you make a 1 year old pretend he is eating fake candy??

You put chocolate ice cream on it and he licks it off.

Booya!

End of the Year!

Tuesday, December 4th, 2007

Well, not technically yet, but I have finished shooting all of my weddings for 2007 and thought I would make a fun little slideshow of some of my favorite images for y’all to see! I had such a blast this year meeting all of the new people and shooting at tons of new places. And yes, there is a shoe section and a cake section in the slideshow…cuz you know I love me some cake and heels!! It is set to is one of my most favorite songs, it is so fun, it makes you want to scream the words at the top of your lungs with the windows down and the tuneage cranking…which I have been known to do… :)

So, yes I have entered the slow season of Minnesota wedding photography, but I am not bored by any means. I am getting tons of studio samples of albums, canvas prints and cards printed as we speak. And I am planning for all of next years fabulous weddings like, my friend Ana’s wedding in Alexandria, super cool couples who have planned some really special ceremonies at different locales like a funky little barn wedding and even a destination wedding to Mexico!!

If you are looking for a wedding photographer for 2008, we should hook up!! I have alot of ‘08 weddings already on the books, so double check with me to see if I am available for your date.

So click the PLAY button and crank up your speakers!
