Friday, September 21st, 2007

Hey guys,

I am back from Lutsen and let me tell you, the colors are amazing. I will post a few photos tomorrow of me and Matty and the dogs, since they tagged along. So, I am back with cell phone service and internet access and I am happy to be back to civilization!!

Out of the Office!

Sunday, September 16th, 2007

Greetings and Salutations!

I just wanted to notify my clients, stalkers and the like, that I will be out of the office for a couple of days to celebrate Matty and my 4th anniversary. I won’t be gone long, but I won’t be able to check my email or voicemail as often as I usually do. So please expect a delay in my getting back to you, but to make up for it, I will post some very exciting photos in the coming days of our adventures!

Kisses!

Yesterday, Matt and I had the pleasure of hanging out with the super fantastic couple Marnie and Nick and their crazy friends. Now, I can call their friends crazy because I know most of them and have experienced their craziness. This wedding was a bit of a mini-reunion for me because I went to high school with most of the people there. Marnie works for a Duluth congressperson at the Capitol and Nick works for FSN as a photographer and they are absolutely awesome together. We had a blast hanging out with them and the entire wedding party.

On to the photos!!
We started out at House of Prayer Lutheran Church in Oakdale for the ceremony. The dress was beautiful and check the shoes shot on an old 70’s chair–FAB!

I was so jealous of their 56 Chevy wagon that they used as their get-away vehicle

On to the reception at the White Bear Country Inn in White Bear Lake. Everyone had an excellent time, the music was pumping, the drinks were flowing and the bride and groom were glowing. When it was time to cut the cake, nothing was out of the norm, Marnie and Nick fed each other cake and kissed and that was that. A minute later, I look over at the bride and there she is, eating a giant pudding sundae. YUM.

So here is a photo of the cake and a photo of the sundae…I think I want both!

Congrats and enjoy the honeymoon to San Fran and Tahoe!! Thanks very much for being so kind and welcoming! And thanks to Molly and Bryan (who’s wedding I am shooting next month) and Amy and Brian (who’s wedding I shot last year and are expecting their first little baby in November!!) for the referral!

Mackenzie & Andrew 9.8.2007

Monday, September 10th, 2007

This weekend, Shelley and I headed up about an hour north of Stillwater to the Frederic/Danbury, WI area. I hadn’t really been in that area for any period of time, so I wasn’t really sure what to expect. Maybe some trees? May I say, that we were pleasantly surprised.

We started off meeting Mackenzie, Andrew and their family and friends at Seven Pines Lodge in Frederic. What a cool place! The main lodge has a sticker in the window bragging that it is in the book “1000 Places to See Before You Die” (so I crossed that off of my list!). Its a great property that has several rustic, old and some newer cabins, a trout stream and a yummy pine-fresh smell. The cabins have so much history and personality, some have beds that hang from the ceiling! Anyways, we find Mackenzie in her cabin and this is what I see…Let me tell you, I am pumped!!!

Then we drove up to Fort Folle Avione Historic Park for a great outdoor ceremony right before the sprinkles came rolling in.

All of the guests snacked on chocolate covered strawberries and colorful flower cookies while the maid of honor and best man gave the couple champagne toasts…

The flower cookies matched the brides bouquet perfectly. Look at these great blooms!

Tyler turns one!!!

Monday, September 3rd, 2007

Over the weekend, my little boo-boo face nephew turned one. That year has just flown by, hes (almost) walking, talking and being the sillest boy ever. My sis had a party and, DANG that kid made out like a bandit, he also scored tons of great shoes.

Declyn and Mikey, and Jenna’s Senior Photos

Sunday, September 2nd, 2007

I have a couple portrait sessions that I shot within the past 2 weeks that I wanted to blog. First up, is Miss Declyn and Mr. Mikey. They are cousins and both just had birthdays. We took some photos of the grandkids for Grandma and Grandpa. Ironically, we also used Grandma and Grandpa’s house as the back drop. Here ya go…

I also made a new friend a few days ago when I met up with Jenna who wanted her senior photos taken. Jenna is rad. She had cute clothes with organized matching accessories. And we also have the same hairstylist, Kelly (who by the way is the best!). Jenna and her mom and I went downttown St. Paul on a perfect evening and got some really great shots as we walked around. Jenna also happens to be a booty-kickin’ hockey player, she and her team won state last year cuz they rock!
