Yesterday, I shot a wedding with Matty that has a fun little story behind it. Last March, I got an email from a girl who was interested in wedding photos. Normal enough. But as I was emailing back and forth with her, I found out that she wasn’t engaged just yet. But she wanted to make sure that I would be available to shoot her wedding and would get back to me as soon as she got her ring. A few weeks later, I received the most excited email from Clare, telling me that her Eppy had given her “a sparkly ring!”

And so it seemed that May 19th would never come fast enough, with Clare sending me updates every month with fun little details she had planned to include on her wedding day. So now, May 19th has come and gone and this is what Matt and I saw:

We all went to Loring Park for some photos before the ceremony at Hennepin Avenue United Methodist.

The reception was at the Marriott Minneapolis West. The room was so beautiful, everything was white and twinkly.

It was a wonderful day, Matt and I were so happy and lucky to be a part of it. Thanks guys, and have fun in Mexico!

Wasn’t today a nice day? Kinda warm…but still nice. And it happened to be a wonderful day for 2 sisters to get all dolled up and take some pictures for a Mother’s Day gift. This afternoon I met up with my friend Molly and her sister, Sarah (aka Tootie) and took some long over-due photos for their momma. We headed to downtown St. Paul near the river and that was the most perfect location. Then to add a little color, we headed over to the “del sol” district just across the Mississippi for a few more shots. We got a little sweaty (me!) but it was worth it. Then, to end the day, we had a little dinner (and some kick-ass Bloody Mary’s) at the tasty Muddy Pig.

Holy Cats!

I just spent the afternoon with some of the hottest chicks in town. I did a “boudoir party” at my house today with 3 lovely ladies. The champagne was flowing, there were nummy strawberries, oatmeal cookies, and bagels for everyone. It was a blast. Spyder and Murphy were on their best behavior, meaning they were trying to get in all of the shots…Naughties!

I just got home a little while ago from such a fun wedding. Everything was so different and unique, so refreshing, and a great way to start off wedding season in Minnesota!

What was so different about Julie and Brandon’s wedding you ask? Well for starters, Julie had a yellow wedding dress. Then Brandon surprised the guests at the wedding with a gorgeous rendition of Billy Joe’s “She’s Got A Way”, I mean, KILLER! Then the most fun wedding party and I went to the Stone Arch Bridge and St. Anthony Main for some fun photos. And then we headed down the the Atlas Grill downtown Minneapolis and watch the entertainment for the evening, dueling pianos! So much fun, and I met the nicest people ever! Plus, Julie happens to be cousins with Brian and his wife Amy, whos wedding I shot last year and are one of the sweetest couples I know.

The day has finally come, eyespy weddings is here and it is glorious! I am so thrilled with how great the new site is. And for you folks who have been around since the beginning, the original eyespy-photo site is still around.

So, I have now become a blogger. I will update the blog fairly regularly with weddings, kids, families and of course, tons of dogs. There will be some personal stuff too, like when I decide to get a new hair color. Which is quite often, then you will be able to recognize me! Have a look around and let me know what you think!!
