Alexa & Sean {portrait}

Tuesday, August 24th, 2010

Sean contacted me months ago about surprising his bride of 10 years with a super fun/ass kickin’ photoshoot. Their wedding photographs were less than stellar and he wanted some great portraits of the 2 of them. He coordinated their original wedding party to come out and play for a few shots as well!

Sandi + 1 {portrait}

Monday, June 21st, 2010

Can you believe this is #4 for this hottie mama? Sandi is a fantastic person with the most darling little ones ever. I can’t wait to meet (and photograph!) the new one who will be here any day.

Kayson, 1 year

Monday, April 12th, 2010

Remember little Kayson? Well he is a big boy now! I was lucky enough to take Kayson’s portrait every 3 months for his first year of life. It’s amazing to see those little babies grow into little dudes. Plus, he is a total sweetheart, so that made this shoot all the more fun. Because Kayson’s mommy was so smart to book a “1st year” portrait collection with me, she will get a delicious leather heirloom album filled to the brim with pictures from all of our sessions. Yay!

Camera Day: Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

Thursday, March 11th, 2010

**please note the change in date to May 2nd**

2cameraday copy

I have been a professional photographer for 6+ years now and have learned a lot, made a TON of mistakes and had some really great successes. When I was first starting out, no one in the photography world would talk to me about starting a business. They were afraid I will take all of their secrets and steal their clients. Looking back, I still find it ridiculous how secretive everyone was. And I know how hard it is to get up and running, and find shortcuts and tips that will help you grow as a photographer and business owner.

I do not claim to have all of the answers nor do I think of myself as a photographing smarty-pants. But I do receive many emails from photographers starting out who are looking for answers. And that is what this is about, giving the help that I had to fight for in the beginning of my career.

“Camera Day” has been designed to help the budding photographer find their way in those beginning and middle stages. It’s full of information that I would have killed for 6 years ago. We will talk about inspiration and where to find it, why networking is SO important and how to get your dream clients. There will also be some shooting time, complete with hot models and a photo critique after the shoot. And all of your meals are also included. Lots of yummy stuff!!!

I will show you how I do what I do. No secrets. No BS. Just bring your camera.

The entire day, SUNDAY, MAY 2ND (9am-8pm), including meals is $400, a deposit of $200 holds your spot. Click here to sign up!!

Kayson

Monday, November 16th, 2009

Kayson is 9 months old. Gosh! Time is flying!! I remember when he was born and now he sits up, stands, and has a mouthful of teeth! What a lover! The day I took Kayson’s pictures, he had no nap. Dude was CRAB-BY. There were a few tears but, I managed to get a few smiles with my famous pig snorting. :) Enjoy!

Jennifer & Justin {portraits}

Thursday, October 29th, 2009

I am a little behind on blogging! I shot a cute little family shoot a few weeks ago that included Jennifer, Justin and sweet little Abby. Jennifer contacted me looking for some family pictures since their last time being photographed was when they were married 5 years ago. And of course, Miss Abby would be included since she was their little poochie baby! We met up in downtown Wayzata and took advantage of the great fall colors. Enjoy!

Allie {portraits}

Monday, October 5th, 2009

Another sassy senior for 2010! Allie is a busy girl with a gorgeous face. We did it up in Minneapolis and found some new little hot spots to frequent for shooting. She played me a song under some scaffolding and did me a huge favor by sitting on a random couch near some abandoned warehouses. TOTAL ROCKSTAR!

Ashley {portraits}

Thursday, September 10th, 2009

“Not your typical senior photos” is how I describe my approach towards high school senior photography. When Ashley got in contact with me, that is exactly what she was looking for, non-traditional senior photos. Like a fashion shoot. That is what we did for her in Minneapolis recently. We started at the Gutherie Theater, moved over to Gold Medal Park and finished off in Dinkytown.
