I had an exciting surprise this morning…a happy little email from Style Me Pretty letting me know they were going to be featuring Krista and Nate’s sweet barn wedding on their blog today. Many thanks to Abby at Style Me Pretty and to Krista and Nate for having such a lovely affair!

I was out of town all of last week to shoot a fantastic destination wedding but in all of the excitement, I forget to share with everyone that Janet & Ben’s wedding from last August was featured on my favorite wedding blog Snippet & Ink! Check it out and leave Kathryn some love!

I just got the latest copy of MN Bride, which is a great resource for planning your wedding btw, and came across some familiar faces. Congrats to Abby and Jason! I am still loving those green bridesmaid dresses with the pink bouquets!

I was lucky enough to get a fantastic 2 page spread of JoEllen and Rob’s magical wedding. My images open up the “Newlywed” section and I couldn’t be more excited! Jo and Rob had such a unique spread of details and special touches, I am glad that everyone in Minnesota can see that you don’t have to have the “traditional” wedding. Be yourself and have fun!

Congrats to Jo and Rob for being supermodels, again!

Being published was always a goal of mine. Just to see the images I captured in print for all to see is very exciting. When Real Weddings Australia contacted me to feature one of my weddings I thought it was a joke. Australia? Really? Yeah right! I emailed the photo editor back not expecting anything and what do you know…they were for real!!

I just got the layout today and am expecting my copy in the mail anyday now. I don’t think this magazine is available in the states, so here it is! 5 pages of EyeSpy and the lovely JoEllen and Rob in their international glory!

I was flipping through the new “Best of 2009″ edition of the national edition of The Knot and found a little surprise. A cute little photo from Molly and Bryan’s wedding back in 2007 of the awesome french-inspired escort cards that Molly had made for her reception.

Way to go Molly, with all of your craftiness!

The women have spoken, and EyeSpy is where it’s at! I found out recently that EyeSpy Photography was voted favorite female photographer in the Twin Cities for 2009 by the Minnesota Women’s Press! WOW! There is a little write up about me and the fun stuff that I do, here is the link to the Women’s Press.

In other EyeSpy news, I just got back from a mind-blowing photography workshop in Santa Fe put on by some of the best wedding photographers. Jose, http://jeshderox.com/ and Image is Found put the whole thing together and it was such a unique experience. I have a lot of new business ideas, shooting tips and a new group of friends from all over the US. I can’t wait for wedding season to kick in so I can rock out my new ideas!
